This panel will allow you to talk to several NPC with names (key NPC) that scattered throughout the game world. Some of them are trader of which you can buy or sell item to them. Some of them are people who knows something about mission you carry out. Some of them are target for certain mission.

Talking to them about mission will give you an idea why the mission is given to you in the first place.
